We have recently introduced the ability to join multiple schools under a single email account. This will make it easier for you to be active on Classlist in two schools and to switch between them easily on the app.
Lots of you have already signed up for multiple schools in a number of different ways, be they email forwarders or a second email address of your own. This quick guide will explain the process required to create a new account and delete your old one.
Before you begin this process, it is worth messaging one of your Classlist Ambassadors or Class Reps to let them know that you will be 're-applying' to join Classlist, and that they should approve you again.
Joining a Second School
Login to Classlist using the email address you would like to continue using.
When you log in to Classlist, you will now notice a small arrow next to the name of your school (administrators will need to jump to their parent accounts to see this).
Clicking on this will bring up the option to 'Apply for a new school'. Just enter the name of the school you wish to apply for and click Continue.
Add your children to the appropriate classes. You will then need to be wait to be approved.
Once you have been approved, you will notice that you can now swap between the two schools at any time by clicking on your school's name.
If you were already a member at your second school you will have been added into your year and class groups again with your new account. You will need to remove your old non-linked account so that it doesn't get too confusing for both yourself and any Administrators of your site.
Please make sure you keep a record of any important information before you delete your account.
You will still be able to view any posts, community events and announcements that your Class/Year has received, because you will be in the same classes and years as before.
However, you will unfortunately lose any private messages, parent invites or listings that you have created on your old account, so don't delete your account until you no longer need them.
Ask an Administrator to add you to any of your previous Community Groups, and if you have admin status they will need to give you admin status for your new account (eg if you are a Class Rep or ambassador).
Deleting your account
Log into your old account and visit your profile. At the very bottom of the page you will see a button that says 'Delete'. Clicking this will remove your account completely from our server.
