When signing up to your school’s Classlist page, parents simply need to enter their name, email address and phone number. The name and class of at least one child is also required, in order to determine whose contact details are visible upon logging in.
It’s also recommended that parents add the same basic details of all of their children attending the same school, as well as the contact details of any other family members, although these are not mandatory.
This simple information is used to help parents contact each other on Classlist, are kept securely on Classlist’s servers and aren’t shared with any third party advertisers. Parents can choose to share specific details with either the entire class, year group or they can hide them completely.
