This page contains a list of useful information for Classlist Administrators. To take a tour of some of the main responsibilities, click here.
When someone leaves the school
If the child is leaving but not the parent (i.e. they have other children), then on the School Structure page select the child and delete them using the 'trash' icon below the pupil list.
If the whole family is leaving choose ‘Disable Parent’ on the All Parents page. The delete member button is under refinement.
Adding new year groups and classes later
You can add extra year groups and classes at any time on the School Structure page.
Handing over Ambassador role to someone else.
You may need to hand over the Ambassador role to someone else. This can be done in one of two ways. You can appoint someone as Ambassador by finding them on 'All Parents' page. Once clicked on you should see a button named 'Change Admin Status'.
You can also assign an admin role directly from the 'Manage School' page. Simply click the pink + button to add a new administrator of a specific type.
How to delete posts
You can monitor activity in your groups by visiting the 'Monitor Community' page. You can delete a post or comment from Classlist here.
When parents register, they may not know which class their child will be in, or the class may not be listed. They will be put into a group called 'unassigned' on the school structure. You can move them out of them to the right place by selecting and dragging the pupil.
If a parent joins and has a child in another class that isn’t using Classlist yet, they may choose ‘I can’t find my class’ in the list of classes. You will therefore see that there are parents in other classes who are interested in using Classlist. Please add their class and contact them to tell them.
Disabling a parent
Disabling someone prevents them from logging on and using the site, without deleting their details. This is designed to be used if, for example, you need to caution a parent for their behaviour.
