Name of school has been removed from letter
Regarding class lists for the 2016 academic year, Class reps have previously had the thankless task of assembling, updating and distributing manual class list spreadsheets. We are now introducing a more modern solution: www.Classlist.com. This secure site enables parents to manage and update the information they wish to share with others in their own class and year group. Emails and event invites can be managed through the site, as well as school community groups being set up to discuss fund-raising, or hot topics such as parking and traffic arrangements! This will make the role of Class Rep easier, and everyone should benefit from a more efficient system.
The site will feature a limited amount of relevant advertising from vetted suppliers. No advertisers have any access to parent details or email addresses. Classlist offers a revenue share arrangement to help the Friends fundraise, if parents and local businesses wish to advertise on the site. In a very exciting development, [School Name] will be one of the first schools nationwide to have Classlist's new SchoolRun share service, which helps parents find others at school they could team up with to plan journeys into school. Journeys don't only have to be by car - the site also supports arranging "walking trains" and cycling. We will let you know when you can register at www.classlist.com (once the structure of all the classes and year groups have been set up on the site). Please do add a photo to your Profile so people know who you are! I would encourage parents who drive their children into school to opt in to use the Schoolrun section.
