Tip - This article describes how a parent can set up a personal Stripe account in order to sell goods via the Marketplace.

Parents can now collect money from other parents via Classlist using Stripe. Stripe is one the largest and best established global payments platforms. Parents can pay you via Classlist through credit or debit card. Funds will be collected in a Stripe account for you, then automatically transferred to the bank account which you specify.
Stripe is simple to set up on your Profile page by clicking on Payment Settings, then Add bank details. You can access your Profile page on the app by clicking on the hamburger menu (bottom right); then Profile; or if on desktop by clicking on your photo / name at the top left of the home page. If you put an item up for sale you will be prompted to set up a Stripe account directly once you specify the price for your item.
The bank details form is shown below. The personal and bank information you supply here are sent directly to Stripe. They are not available to any other Classlist members and cannot be accessed by Classlist Ambassadors or administrators.
Please complete the fields as shown. Where address details are pre-populated from our records, please check that this is information is accurate and up to date. Please note that any amendments you make on this form will not be updated on your main Classlist profile. They will be used purely to set up your Stripe account.
Please ensure all fields are completed accurately. Classlist cannot accept any liability for errors in completing your bank account details.
In the short term Classlist does not service bank accounts outside the UK. If this prevents you from accepting payment please raise a helpdesk ticket specifying the country where your bank account is held, and we will see whether your account can be added.
Please note that each payout to your bank account attracts a 20p Stripe service fee. For this reason payouts are collected together on a weekly basis within Stripe, and transferred into your bank account every week.
Once you have set up your Stripe payment method you will receive an email notification confirming this. Following every sale you will receive a notification that proceeds have been received. You will then see the funds appear in your bank account after a maximum period of one week.
