Dear [Head Teacher],
I’m writing to inform you about a free online tool for Class Reps and PTAs, designed to help schools build a strong parent network and strengthen their fundraising efforts.
Classlist was created by parents in Oxford who understand the benefits of making life run more smoothly for school communities. When you sign up, your school gets a free bespoke site that’s fully data protected. No more hassle about permissions for parent contacts – they choose which details to share then enter them securely on the site.
Parents, class reps and PTA members can now manage everything from rehoming lost property to recruiting volunteers for school fundraising events. All sites are moderated by a parent usually nominated by the school.
It’s the secure alternative to parent-run groups on social media and a time-saving tool for staff and PTAs battling to keep their parent contact information up to date.
Classlist provides a free service to parents and schools by offering limited sponsorship opportunities to local businesses (often parent run). These businesses do not have access to Classlist sites and personal data is never shared with them but see the advantages of promoting their businesses all year round in addition to the annual school Christmas or summer fair. The funds generated from advertising and sponsorship can be shared 50:50 with participating schools.
Classlist is already used in hundreds of UK schools and trusted by thousands of parents.
Classlist is a PTA UK approved supplier and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
