One of the benefits of Classlist is the auto-populated 'Ambassadors & Reps group'. This allows all parent members with admin status to communicate, regardless of their specific admin role.
How Does Membership Work?
Membership of this group is entirely automated to include parents when they are assigned admin status. Members who are Ambassadors, Community Reps or Class Reps will all be included.
Automatic Addition: When a parent member is granted admin status, they are automatically added to the Ambassadors and Reps group.
Automatic Removal: If a parent member's admin status is removed, they will be automatically removed from the group.
NB: Staff Admins cannot join this group as they don't have access to the parent side of Classlist.
Key Features:
No Group Owner: As an automated group, there is no designated group owner responsible for managing membership. The system handles this process automatically.
Easy Communication: This group provides a single, convenient location for all admins to communicate with each other.
Effortless Management: You do not need to manually add or remove members from this group. The system ensures the membership is always up-to-date based on admin privileges.
How to Use the Group:
Admins can use the 'Ambassadors and Reps' group to:
- Send announcements to all other admins from the green admin side.
- Post messages to reach all current admins at once from the blue parent side.
- Test event set ups before launching to the wider parent group.
Visibility:
You will only see the 'Ambassadors and Reps' group if you currently hold admin status within the system. If you do not have an admin account with access to the blue parent side, this group will not be visible to you.
Summary
The 'Ambassadors and Reps' group streamlines communication among administrators by automatically including all users with admin privileges. Membership is dynamic and requires no manual management.
