Classlist links a child to an individual parent, not to a family or set of two parents, because each account is held in the name of the parent not the child. This means children can appear twice in the Classlist.
We have taken the decision not to link both parents to a child, but to allow each parent to have their own account. With the nature of blended families and to protect the privacy of particular family arrangements we have kept it simple such that each parent manages their child data independent of their spouse or partner.
Even though both parents may be using Classlist, it is still worth adding contact details of your partner to your profile, this means that if someone needs to contact you but cannot, they can quickly access other contact details.
