Running a 50:50 Club

Why not set up a new 50/50 club, an in-house lottery open to all school families, staff and governors. The objective is to give your parents the possibility of winning one of ten monthly cash prizes whilst raising funds for the school at the same time.

Example: Subscription to the 50/50 club is £20 per year per number. There will be 10 draws per academic year, starting in October 2020 and running until July 2021.

If you sell 100 numbers you will generate £2,000. 50% (£1,000) of this is returned in prizes (£100 to the winner of each of the 10 monthly draws) and the other half will go to PTA school projects. With fewer members the prize money will reduce proportionally, likewise with more than 100 members the prize money will increase proportionally. The winning number will be generated using a random number generator app in the school office and  the lucky winner announced via Classlist every month.

To have a chance of winning, please buy a ticket below. Each £20 ticket you purchase is for one number in the draw, and you are very welcome to buy multiple entries! Once your ticket has been purchased, you will be allocated a number or numbers. We will close entry into this years 50/50 club on the 29th October so please do support the school and have a flutter … good luck!

RULES

Cost of membership is £20 per academic year per allocated number.
10 draws will be made for the months between October and July (inclusive), with one winner for every draw.
The prize fund will be split evenly between the monthly draws and will total 50% of the annual income.
The 50/50 club is a type of lottery permitted under the UK gambling laws.
The 50/50 Club is run as a private society lottery and is open to all parents, carers, staff and governors of our School. Tickets are not available to those outside the school premises, to the general public, family or friends.
Minimum age to enter is 18.
Payments must be made via purchasing a ticket in Classlist.
Winnings will be paid out within 28 days of the draw.
Your membership is non-refundable.
The draw shall be made in the School Office using a random generator app.
The name of each month’s winners will be posted on Classlist and in the weekly email roundup.
The 50/50 Club will be run by the PTA. In case of any dispute the decision of the PTA Committee is final.
If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into PTA funds after six months.
