Getting a QR code for your event poster

If you are making a poster for your event to put around school you can generate a QR code for your event page to make it easy for parents to find the right event page right there and then.

First copy the correct link

If your event is for Classlist members only

On a computer go to the event on admin side and look for the event sharing section. You can copy the Classlist member link from here. This is the same link as you will find on the event in the parent side url from the browser bar at the top.

The link will be in this format: https://app.classlist.com/parent/#/events/view/823860663

Parents with the Classlist app will be taken to this page from the link, as will those on computers.

NB do not copy the link from your admin side browser bar on the event page, as the admin area is only accessible to admins such as Ambassadors and Reps, so parents won't be able to get there or buy a ticket from that url.  The link there looks like this: https://app.classlist.com/school/#/community-events/dashboard/823860663

If have a Public event / guest checkout

If you are using the 'Event Sharing' option to share a guest checkout page with people who aren't members of Classlist then you can use the 'copy link' button on your event's admin dashboard to get the public page for your event.

The public event link looks like this: https://app.classlist.com/events/#/events/view/823860663

If members buy tickets via the public event link the ticket will show in their Classlist account as long as they use the same email address.

Now generate a QR code

There are various QR code generators on the web such as this. 

Simply input your event link and generate a QR code for your poster.

Please test the QR code is working before printing your posters!
