How do I register for a second school on Classlist and how do I swap between them?

Are you a parent with children at different schools? If your children's schools each have their own Classlist community, you can easily join them all using the same account with a single log-in. We know there are parents who are members of three schools on Classlist already!

How to apply to join a second school

To join another school which is using Classlist, open your existing Classlist site and look at your school's name in the blue banner at the top of the screen. Tap the down-pointing arrow next to the name of your school, and then tap 'apply for a new school'. If you have an admin status remember that you need to be in the blue parent area to apply to a different school.

Start writing the name of the school you want to join. The search function will automatically find all the schools which match your text, so make sure you select the correct school if there are several options listed (see image below!). Tap on the school you want to select. 

If the school you are looking for doesn't come up it could be that the school is not registered on Classlist, or that the way you have written the name doesn't match our records. If you can't find the school and you know it's using Classlist please contact our friendly support team.

Next add the details of your child/children for the second school; other personal information from your profile will carry over from the first school. Tap continue to save and submit your request to join. You will see a confirmation that your registration is now pending approval at the second school. 

You will need to be approved by a member of the new school's Classlist admin team but once that's done you will have access to both schools from one account!

NB: If you were previously a member of the second school's Classlist community but your account there was deactivated by an admin (eg if your child left the school), you will need to ask the school to reactivate your account or remove the deactivated account and re-join the second school. Now I have joined a second school, how do I swap between them? 

The process for swapping between the two schools could not be easier:

Desktop users: click on the dropdown arrow to the right of the school name at the top of the screen and the name of the second school(s) will be displayed underneath. Simply tap on the one you want and you will be whisked to the correct school!

Mobile Users:  Click anywhere on the school name or switch button

You will then see your other school(s) listed, and you can choose which one you want to use. Admin users will also be able to change to the admin side here.

You can swap freely between both schools, or even apply to join another.

Tip: If you have already registered to two schools under two different email accounts, please click here to find out how to combine them under one account.

If you are leaving the original school you can delete a school from your account.
