If you need more information about Classlist for your Head and PTA Committee there are some files and links below.
Classlist has basic usage guidelines which are sent to all members when they join, as well as a detailed set of Terms and Conditions which members must agree to. These are designed to keep your Classlist community positive and beneficial for all. This has proved effective - social media sites such as Facebook and WhatsApp do not have school-specific guidelines and heads are rightly wary of them. We have found the parents respect the guidelines and schools welcome Classlist over Facebook and WhatsApp. Having guidelines in place makes it easy to point out to people if they step over the line. More detailed guidelines for use are available below. The article in Academy magazine below highlights the advantages of Classlist.
All parents must be approved to join Classlist, and can be removed when they leave the school or at any other time by the Ambassador. Parents invited by admins via email are pre-approved.
Classlist sites always have a parent "Ambassador" who has full visibility of all group posts, and can delete them if necessary. Parents can report other members if they feel they have broken the guidelines, and Ambassadors can investigate.
