Announcements can be sent out by Ambassadors, Class Admins and Community Reps. They are a great way for organisers at your school to communicate about important events. An announcement can also contain an attached file, such as minutes of a meeting or a newsletter. They are sent as an email as well as appearing on your Parent Board unless you have opted out of receiving emails in your notification settings.
If you want to find an old announcement you can identify them in the Parent Board feed by the yellow loudhailer icon, or go to the My School page and click on the 'Go to Announcements' button at the top right. On a mobile just click on the Announcement icon as shown here:
You will be able to comment on an announcement while it is in the newsfeed; these comments can then be seen by the announcement sender, as well as other recipients of the announcement.
Attachments can be downloaded by clicking to view the Announcement and then clicking on the attachment. For more information on downloading attachments, please click here.
