Using the Guest Checkout
If your schools wants to anonymously give free tickets to low income families who receive pupil premium they can do this via the guest checkout.
- Enable the guest checkout.
- The school use the guest checkout to purchase the tickets but put in the parents email address for each purchase.
- If parents have an account the tickets will be added to their account, if not they will just get emailed the booking confirmation with qr code.
- This way the parents tickets would look the same as anyone else's.
- Then the event organiser would need to refund the school for the tickets out of the income. They would just need to say for example "we bought 10 tickets costing a total of £x".
Free Tickets
An alternative option is to use free tickets but the tickets would show as free eg to someone scanning or checking in tickets.
- This could work at small schools if the same person who allocated the tickets is also checking them in.
- If some other parents also have free tickets (eg volunteers) then the reason behind who has which ticket would be less obvious.
Due to the privacy around pupil premium the guest checkout is the option that most schools will want to use.
