If you have just deleted a pupil by mistake, then don't worry, it isn't the end of the world. The parent will still have an account (unless they have deleted it themself). Deactivating parents is a separate process to deleting pupils because many parents have more than one pupil at a school.
Unfortunately you can't add the pupil back on to the parent's account yourself, for reasons of opt in and privacy. The parent just needs to add the pupil again to their profile, please get in touch with them via PM to let them know they need to do this.
If you have deleted more than one pupil you may need to work out who the parents are so that you can let them know they need to add the pupils back. If the parents now don't have any pupils attached to their account you can find them on the all parents page.
How to find parents with no pupils
If you go to 'All parents' we have a filter than will allow you to choose 'parents with no pupils'. You may find the parent of the deleted pupil there. {NB You may find other parents there too eg if they deleted their own pupil from their account}.
Then you can send the parent a message and ask them to go to their Profile and add the pupil again. That will put them back in the right class.
NB If the parent of the deleted pupil had more than one pupil then you won't see the parent in the filtered list of parents with no pupils...
Therefore you may need to go through a school list of all pupils in the year and work out who isn't showing in the year group. You could invite anyone who hasn't joined yet at all, and identify anyone who has an account but does not have a pupil in the right year group.
