You can invite family members to join Classlist by adding their details to the family connections page. They will receive an invite by email but no other school communications from Classlist unless they sign up for an account. Please make sure that both parents agree if inviting step parents to join.
By adding additional family members, you can let other parents and carers from the same year group as you contact them, without that family member having to register with Classlist. Just like when adding a child, all you have to do is select 'Add Family Member' in your profile and enter a few basic details.
There is an option to add a phone number to the family member's listing, although this isn't required. You do have to add an email address which can be used by others in your year group.
If any information is entered incorrectly, or if you'd like to remove someone's information from Classlist, just select edit by that person's name and scroll down to 'remove family connection'.
What are the family contact details for?
- The email address is used to send them an invite to join (they will need to be approved by admin)
- The email/phone number can be used from your profile by other parents in your year only.
- These family members will not receive any emails from us except invites to joined.
If the additional family member(s) wishes to receive communications directly from Classlist such as class emails/event invitations/PTA newsletters then they need to register separately and be approved as a member.
Inviting Other Parents to join
If you would like to invite someone else to join (who you don't want listed as a family member on your profile) you can do this by sending them an invite from your profile under the 'my account' or 'my school' tab and scrolling down to the 'invite someone' section.
