Class Reps are the secret weapon of the PTA world. These hard working parents can engage one-to-one with other parents in their classes, something that a PTA Chair or Classlist Ambassador often can't do on their own. Help them keep up their engagement with the community by giving them an admin status of Class Rep on Classlist and make sure you let them know how appreciated they are!
Adding Class Reps to Classlist
To add reps to Classlist either invite them as you would any other parent and then assign rep status or manually invite them by email and assign their 'class rep' status (aka class admin) at the same time.
Helping Class Reps to get started
Once they are set up as a Class Rep you can further support them to keep in touch with parents by inviting them to join you in a demo or refresher training.
We also have a lot of help articles that you could share with Class Reps such as:

Tips from Class Reps
- Thanks to Classlist, there's no-need for you to use a paper contact list. If you have a tablet or smartphone you can even get people invited on the spot! This way, data can't be lost and will always be up to date!
- Make sure you upload a profile picture. This helps people recognise you and will make them feel more comfortable.
- Try posting discussion topics that will engage other users. Discuss previous events and current affairs. The more people communicate, the more they will get to know one another!
- If you are creating an announcement that contains a number of events (such as a monthly bulletin), make sure you also create the events separately on Classlist. This will allow parents to RSVP, and will act as a reminder so that they do not forget.
