How to Mute a Group on Classlist

Muting a group allows you to stop push notifications for new content sent to a specific group. While you will no longer receive alerts for new activity, in-app indicators will still highlight updates in that group so you can catch up in your own time.

To mute a group:

1. Tap the group you wish to mute.
2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Select your desired mute duration: 1 day, 7 days, or until you turn it back on.

How to identify a muted group:

Once a group is muted, you will see a muted bell icon next to the group name in your Groups list.

Note on notifications:

This feature is intended to reduce general chatter. Please be aware that announcements, event invitations, and direct messages will still be sent to you even if the group is muted.
