Receiving money as the school or PTA
Stripe can collect money and pay it into your bank account in the currencies it called 'Settlement currencies'. You need to have a bank account in the currency that it settles the money in.
See here for a list of settlement currencies.
If your school is in a country that is not listed as a Stripe presentment currency there may be other options. For example, sometimes international schools have a bank account in another currency such as USD or their home country currency if the banks in their country of residence have restrictions. Therefore you could collect money in the currency of the school's overseas bank account if that is available.
Making a payment on Classlist (by a parent)
Stripe can take the funds from parents in a longer list of currencies and convert those to the settlement currency.
Stripe can collect money in these currencies, known as presentment currencies.
Please note that Stripe's fees can vary by country according to local banking conditions so please check the Stripe fee in your own country.
Currency not listed?
If your currency is not listed there may be another option. Please contact Classlist Help Desk and ask for information on taking payments in other currencies.
