Classlist's 'Events' tool allows you to quickly organise everything from birthday parties to PTA coffee mornings and fundraisers. You can quickly invite other parents individually, or even invite a whole class or year! You can even sell tickets to your event online.
By clicking on the 'Events' button you will be taken to the 'Events Page'. Here you will see a list of all the events you are invited to, in chronological order. Along with the date of the event, and an address. You can easily mark yourself as 'Going' or 'Not Going'. When you do so, an email will be sent to the creator of the event, notifying them of your decision.
Events marked as 'Community Events' are events created by Admin accounts such as Ambassadors and Class Reps
Creating an Event
Clicking on the 'Create' button will take you to the event creation page; it is here that you can create your own event entirely over Classlist, which can save a lot of hassle when it comes to invitations.
The process itself follows five easy steps:
- Enter a Name and Description for your event
- Decide on the Time and Location
- Choose whether the event is Ticketed or not
- Invite your guests
- Review your Event's Details
If at any point you need to change your event details, you can do so with the 'edit event' button.
Please Note: you cannot change a paid event to a non-paid event or visa-versa after confirming the event.
Once you have created an event, those invited will receive an email, as well as a notification on Classlist. Only those invited to an event will be able to see it in the events list.
Classlist allows tickets to be sold to events online. During step three of the event creation process, an event creator can choose to sell tickets to the event. You will need a PayPal account to do this, if you need to create one, you can do so here.
Please Note: Classlist does not charge a fee for this feature, but Paypal does, so please bear this in mind when choosing your ticket price. The charge is currently 20p + 3.4% of the ticket price.
